Anne Marie Jette Reinhard sadly passed away at her home in the Upper Swan Valley on Dec. 7, 2024. Her loving daughters, Kathy and Teri were at her side.
Anne Marie was born in Bonner, Montana on Oct. 6, 1941 to Evelyn and Arthur Jette. She was the second of five children, the only girl. Anne lived in Bonner and Missoula for her first 10 years.
The Jette family moved permanently up to Swan Valley in 1950.
After attending St. Francis Xavier Elementary and the Smith Flats School up in Swan, Anne Marie attended Sacred Heart Academy and graduated from Missoula County High School in 1959.
In August 1959, Anne Marie married Kenneth Miller Reinhard. They raised four children in Missoula. In 1973, Anne Marie and Ken moved to Lolo where they were proprietors of the Lolo Tavern. In 1978, they built a home in the Swan and moved there. Ken passed away in 1987. Anne tended bar at the Hungry Bear for 22 years.
The last 15 years Anne has split her time between Swan and Bigfork with her special friend and partner, Ron Carr. They spent their winters in Nevada exploring and enjoying the warmer weather.
In addition to Ken, Anne Marie was predeceased by her parents, her friend and partner Wayne Heron, and her brothers Dennis, Frank, and Don. She is survived by Ron and by her children Kathy (Don) Unsworth, Teri (Keith) Rausch, Ken, Jr and Rick Reinhard, as well as by her brother, Barney Jette. Grandma Anne will be very much missed by her eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A remembrance service will be scheduled in late spring or early summer in Swan Valley.
