A time for giving thanks, Leos raised over $500 for Seeley's food bank

Whether through volunteering, organizing charitable events, or lending a hand to those in need, Seeley Lake's Leos embody the spirit of giving. Thanksgiving is a special time of gratitude and appreciation, and the Leos express their thanks by giving back to their community.

On Saturday, Nov. 23, the Leos came together for their annual turkey drive, an event that embodies the season's spirit. The members collected donations and turkey vouchers, all of which will be contributed to the local food bank in Seeley Lake.

The turkey drive was hosted at Cory's Valley Market, where the Leos received donations from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The drive has raised nearly $5,000 in previous years. This year, they raised $558.05.

"Contributing to the community is truly meaningful, whether it involves picking up litter or fundraising for the food bank. Both efforts benefit the community," said Bailey Bartlett, a senior Leo.
