As a U.S. Marine and a veteran of the Vietnam era, I appreciate the service of all members of the armed forces, past and current.
However, I am seriously disappointed and a bit disgusted with those members of the armed forces in Sheehy’s recent ad. They are standing against the man who has done the most for Montana veterans — brought us clinics, got care for those exposed to Agent Orange, etc.
They are promoting what will be a very junior senator over a very senior and powerful one who has done good things for veterans and Montana and will continue to do so.
In addition, Tim Sheehy is implying that Sen. Jon Tester and President Biden are responsible for high gas prices, high rents and high grocery prices. It is sad when those who have stood to protect our way of life and our democracy push lies onto the public.
Neither Tester, the U.S. Congress, or the President control rent, gas, or grocery prices. These are basically market forces controlled by greedy landlords/CEOs. The GOP should be pleased with prices being “what the market will bear.” After all, they preach for a “free market.”
On top of this, Sheehy is telling people that moving to electric vehicles means no more pickup trucks and that everyone will be driving a Prius. He is showing his ignorance. Ford and GM have been making/selling strong electric pickup trucks for years.
Join me in voting to keep Montana “The Last Best Place” in the future by voting for Jon Tester.
