The MBR plant will only be an option for the RV park if the Seeley Lake Sewer District elects to share the facility. Without the participation of the Sewer District the RV Park will use another type of treatment, which they currently have a discharge permit for.

An MBR system may be a good option for the District, but it is only one of many possible options. The District, along with its professional consultants and the input of District residents, will choose the best, most cost effective treatment, not necessarily being an MBR system. Mr. Chilcott’s MBR plant is available, that doesn’t mean that the District will purchase it. We are not sure of the age of this system or if there is any warranty. When any type of treatment system is selected the District will advertise a “Request for Proposal” and other manufacturers of treatment systems will be invited to submit their system specifications and price quotes. This will ensure that if any treatment system is chosen it will be the most cost effective system.

The location of the MBR in the RV Park is an option, but not the only option, there are vacant lots in the District that could be suitable and available for the location of the MBR. Locating the MBR in the RV park property would subject the District to any easement, fees, or restrictions placed on it by the RV Park’s ownership or other restrictions due to the location of the RV Park.

In conclusion, the District is not prepared to commit to any treatment proposal at this time. The District will go through the process with our consultants and District residents to determine the best option for the District.

The Seeley Lake Water District is not involved in this proposal in any way and no charges will be appearing on your water bills.
