Sparrow's Vine here to help

Dear Editor,

We live in a confusing time. A time when we protect unborn whales and pandas, but not unborn human children! Statistics say that in America there are an average of 90 human abortions every hour. In 1984, President Ronald Ragan proclaimed January 22 a Sanctity of Human Life Day. This year celebrates forty years of the Sanctity of Human Life. The dictionary defines sanctity as the state or quality of being holy, sacred, or of ultimate importance and inviolability.

At Sparrow’s Vine Pregnancy and Parenting Resource Center we believe the Bible states that God knows each one of us and has a purpose for us from before the time we are conceived. (Jeremiah 1:5; Isaiah 49:1; Psalm 139:13-16 are just a few Scripture references, if you are interested.) We also believe that every human life is valued. Because of this, we do what we can to help pregnant mothers learn all they can about having a healthy pregnancy, and then once the baby is born, we are here to help provide support. We do this through material, educational, and emotional assistance.

For 13 years Sparrow’s Vine has been providing families with education and material resources. We have had the opportunity to encourage parents to be the best parents they can be. Our theme for this year is ‘Helping Families Shine at Sparrow’s Vine’. We are pleased that we can provide compassionate care to the families in the Seeley Swan Valley. We also realize that we could not do any of this without the generosity of people and churches in this community.

We would like to thank the community for their continued support in giving us this opportunity to serve young families. We would also like to ask you for your continued assistance in helping us get the word out that we are here and stand with us on the Sanctity of Human Life.

For Life,
