Angel Tree here to help

The Seeley Lake Fire Department foundation is following tradition this year, as members put up their annual Holiday Angel tree. The Angel Tree, located at the Seeley Lake Fire Department, was started five years ago as a way to make Christmas magical for members of the community who need help with buying presents. .

Parents who want to add an angel to the tree can go to the Fire Department and submit a form for their children to get a gift. They can submit information about their child to make the gift more specific to them; such as age, gender and interests.

This information gets written down and placed on the tree for other members of the community to take off and purchase for that child. The tree has been up since Nov. 24, and will be up until Dec. 19.

If members of the community would like to contribute a gift to a child on the angel tree, they can come into the Fire Department Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and pick up an angel. Presents that are bought must be returned to the Fire Department, wrapped, by 5:00 p.m on Dec. 19.

Presents will be delivered in the fire truck and ambulance on Dec. 22 at 5:00 pm. Tabitha Bailey, lead auxiliary member at the Fire Department, is in charge of the Angel tree currently and has been for the past three years. Any angles that are leftover will be covered by the Fire Department Foundation.
