Shakespeare in Seeley

The 11th Annual “Shakespeare in Seeley” produced by Seeley Lake Elementary seventh graders will hold a community performance Tuesday evening (Nov. 22) at 7:30 p.m. This year’s Shakespeare is “Macbeth,” a tragedy in which a Scottish nobelman’s and his wife’s greed and ambition result in murder and eventual deaths. The play is the final phase of first quarter social studies and literature with units of study on English language development, English royal history, and the culture of Elizabethan England. All 7th graders participate in the play, acting as well as costume design and stage work.

Thanksgiving thoughts

If you ever need a lift, turn to a child. Following you’ll find lots of Thanksgiving sunshine from some of our Seeley students.

Second Grade: What are you thankful for?

Megan Lindemer: “My family because we’re all together.”

Samantha Kittrell: “For my family because they treat me nice.”

Hope Jacobs: “My family because most of us aren’t together but I still love my whole family. I’m thankful for the job you let me have.” (Hope works for me in the summer pulling weeds, painting and raking pine needles. She’s a great employee! )

Sidny Johnson: “I’m thankful for family and friends because they play with me.”

Cole Henrekin: “ My family because my dad lets me use old stuff of his and my mom lets me help her cook supper.”

David Minjares: “My family. They buy me a lot of nice stuff and they love me.”

Taylor Friede: “The Air Force because it protects us. My family.”

Cole Evenson: “That my dad lets me ride dirt bikes and he’s always there if I wreck.”

Savannah Davis: “My family and friends. They help me out a lot and we play games with each other.”

Elaina Novak: “For my family and my animals. My mom buys me chips and my pets they’re nice to me and they keep me company.”
