1st Valley Bank First In State

1st Valley Bank is the top-rated commercial bank in Montana, according to Sheshunoff & Company, a national bank-rating service. Through the third quarter of 1987, which is the most current information available, 1st Valley had an overall rating of 95 (out of a possible 99).The only other bank in the state with a rating over 90 is Valley Bank of Kalispell (rated at 92). The  ratings are based upon a weighting of capital, asset quality, management, earnings and liquidity.

Hi-Q certification ratings were awarded to two Pyramid Lumber graders, Ken Quitt and Ken Vernarsky. Western Wood Products Association (WWPA) awards the ratings to graders who maintain a stringent standard of lumber grading throughout the year. Each grader at Pyramid can receive certification in four lumber categories: Selects, Commons, Factory Lumber and Framing Grades.
