Suspected robbery attempt still under investigation

An investigation into a suspected attempted robbery at the Citizens Alliance Bank in Seeley Lake last month is still open.

Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jeannette Smith stated that deputies responded to a criminal mischief call on the morning of Saturday Feb. 4 and arrived to find spray paint covering the external-facing ATM and its accompanying security camera.

Upon inspection, the deputies were able to conclude the ATM had been defaced and that a person or persons had attempted to break into it.
