Gatewood served on a volunteer fire department in Washington for one year. He recently moved to Seeley Lake where he said he looks forward to setting down roots and becoming a member of the community. Kaiser served as a volunteer wildland firefighter in rural Oklahoma for a few months. He owned land and wanted to be able to defend his property and help his neighbors if wildfire threatened it. Both agree that they look forward to helping their neighbors and serving the Seeley Lake community.
