Chips...Bits and Pieces

It was a good tournament for fans from Seeley Lake. Both our girls and boys teams turned in fine performances. A young Seeley Ladyhawk team threw a scare into top ranked Florence, then battled back to capture fourth place and a berth in the Divisional tournament this week. The Blackhawks earned their shot at the District Title with a first round win over Darby and an awesome win over Frenchtown. And, any game that ends 85-80 is one heck of a championship game, even if Loyola claimed the championship. We couldn't be more proud of the way the Hawks played. They averaged 77 points a game. What an exciting bunch of guys. As coach Shawn Holmes once said, "this is a fun team to coach." The Western Boys Divisional Tournament is not until next week in Polson. The girls play this week in Hamilton. Good luck, Ladyhawks! -Gary Noland
