The Feb. 14 meeting of the Condon AARP will feature a presentation by Blossom Savage, a certified equine gestalt therapy coach. The public is invited to attend. The 1-hour presentation will begin at 2p.m. at the Condon Community Hall, Milepost 42 Highway 83, in Condon.
The group's February theme is "Following your Passion ‑- Whatever Your Age!
Blossom's passion enlists the horse as a partner in relieving pain and suffering for humans.
Blossom is a 1980s U of M Graduate in Communication Studies and has a lifetime of association with horses and people. As a newly certified coach in the Touched By A Horse Program, she has established a groundbreaking business in western Montana providing Gestalt Coaching in partnership with horses.
Because horses are highly sensitive to people's emotions, moods, and tone of voice, the horse is used in equine gestalt coaching sessions as a mirror to the client's emotional state. Blossom will explain the why-and-how of Gestalt Coaching, the purpose of partnering with horses, and how following her passion has enhanced her life in so many ways.
The Condon AARP meets on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings begin with a potluck meal at 12:30p.m, followed by a brief business meeting. The presentations begin at 2p.m. Presentation topics range widely, and speakers should expect an inquisitive audience, eager to inform themselves on any topic.
