A chorus of elves and reindeer cheered as Elfis (Lane Brovold) makes his grand entrance during the Dec. 8 Seeley Lake Elementary first and second graders' production of "Elfis and The Sleigh Riders."
The elves and reindeer at Santa's Pad were all so sad when the band split up over which singer should have a solo. However after Elfis encouraged his band to forgive and be forgiven and all be friends again, everyone agreed.
The elves tossed out several ideas for Elfis's band including "Sled Doggie Dog," "The Reindeer Wranglers," "Smashing Icicles" and the "Rolling Snowballs." When Elf #2 (Avah Simon) suggested "The Sleigh Riders" everyone cheered.
Ms. Claus (Sailor Billing) and Santa (Liam O'Brien) announce to Elfis (Lane Brovold), the elves and reindeer that they have found a band for Elfis to sing with.
SEELEY LAKE - When Elfis (Lane Brovold) took the stage at Seeley Lake Elementary Thursday, Dec. 8, all the second grade elves and first grade reindeer cheered. But when Santa (Liam O'Brien) promised him a band with backup singers, Elfis was through the roof. Little did he know the turmoil that would come when the backup singers Aretha (Castielle Casey), Mariah (Henlie Kenney) and Celine (Olivia Bourne) vied for the spotlight and the band members picked sides.
When Elfis teamed up with Santa for a song, the band and singers realized the value of their friendships and forgave each other. They all joined with the elves and reindeer for the final song "North Pole Rock 'N Roll."
