Little Blackfoot 4-H Club president Clara Gravely called the meeting to order at 2:15 p.m. on Dec. 11, at the Avon Clubhouse. There were 10 members present, they were: Clara Graveley, Ole Beck, Wesley McIntosh, Finn Graveley, Augusta
McIntosh, Tylee Jo Berg, Gizelle Beck, Tell Davies, and Taylen Davies. Finn Gravely led the American pledge and Tylee Jo Berg lead the 4-H pledge. Ole Beck gave the treasurer’s report. Beck also gave a report on the ‘Canvas Painting’ county event in Helmville that was held on Nov. 20 . The Perkins
Livestock Judging county event was scheduled for Saturday Dec. 17 at the Perkin’s Ranch, and the Meat Judging county event was also scheduled for Monday Dec. 12 in Anaconda.
Our 4-H club sold concessions at the Christmas Avon Bazaar. Our club voted to donate $500.00 dollars from fundraiser earnings to the Avon Senior Meals Program. Market Beef and Replacement Heifer weigh-ins will be Jan. 7 in Hall at the Skinner Ranch and Jan. 7 in Deer Lodge at the Applegate Ranch. Both weigh-in days will start at 8:30 a.m. At our December meeting we worked on putting together record books and went over how to fill them out and how to make goals.
We also had our Christmas party, games and a potluck! Sara Foster and Finn Gravely are hosting a canvas painting in February.
Our next club meeting will be Jan. 8 at the Avon Clubhouse. We will discuss our winter activity and we need to bring canvas painting ideas. Tylee Jo Berg will host.
