Following the Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, area veterans pose under the Seeley Lake Veterans Memorial with Seeley Lake Girl Scout Troop #3436. Veterans received handmade thank you cards from the Girl Scouts and from Seeley-Swan High School art students.

Rebecca Klassen, a member of Jamie Matthew's third- to- fifth-grade class at Swan Valley Elementary, asking Army veteran Robin Hall about her service. Robin said that she was deployed to the War on Terror in Iraq and Afghanistan. The veterans were treated to a dinner by the American Legion Post 63 Ladies Auxiliary on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. Each student was paired with a veteran to ask some questions about their service.
