Mustangs take down Blackhawks

ENNIS – The Seeley-Swan High School Blackhawks football team had their first loss Sept. 2 against the Ennis Mustangs, final score 12-64.

Senior Quarterback Ben Haley had 69 total rushing yards and one touchdown on the night. Other team leaders for the Blackhawks were Senior Kaden Thornsberry with 29 rushing yards and Sophomore Seth Dunster who had two receptions for 41 yards and 26 yards on kick returns for a total of 67 all-purpose yards.

Senior Klayton Kovatch lead the team with six tackles followed by Junior Cannon Hawkinson with five. Hawkinson scored the other Blackhawk's touchdown.

The Blackhawks have a bye Sept. 9. The Junior Varsity is scheduled to play in Philipsburg Monday, Sept. 12 with kickoff at 4:30 p.m. The Varsity travels to Sheridan High School for a 7 p.m. kickoff Sept. 16.
