Seeley Lake Market Spotlight
SEELEY LAKE – Anita Huggard of Plummer, Idaho plans to offer her UNIQUELY YOURS by Anita crochet products once a month at the Seeley Lake Market.
Huggard has been crocheting projects since the age of eight. "I enjoy crocheting because it is relaxing, I enjoy creating things that make people happy, Huggard said.
She started selling her crochet work in 2005, to supplement her income after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. She listens to customers and creates designs from their comments.
"If I hear someone I see often likes flamingos then I make a flamingo," Huggard said. "That person likes it and buys it and spreads the word."
Huggard travels to the Seeley Lake Market to visit her parents Charles and Kathleen Geary who live in the area. This is her first season selling at a vendor event. "It is hard to find one on Sunday," Huggard said.
Her most popular items have been cartoon characters Pikachu and Yoda. Most of her sales have been word of mouth and online at https://www.facebook.com/uniquelyyoursbyAnita.
Huggard will be in Seeley at the Seeley Lake Market Aug. 21 and Sept. 4. The Market is held on the lawn behind the Seeley Lake Foundation Building on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Labor Day.
