SEELEY LAKE – Sapphire Print Design is open for business. Tracey Youbles, long time Seeley Lake resident, found the equipment for sale on marketplace and set up shop.
Youbles moved to Seeley Lake 30 years ago with family.
"I knew the area because my dad loved Lake Alva and we spent summers up here," Youbles said.
Youbles' first job was with Sun Mountain Sports in Missoula putting logos on the pocket of golf bags. She also worked for a company printing on cloth and vinyl in the Seattle/Tacoma area.
"Silk screening was one of my jobs I just loved," Youbles said. "I saw the equipment for sale and decided why not get back into my passion,
She opened Sapphire Print Design in February but has been slow to get started, Youbles said. This summer she looks forward to filling a need in the community.
Sapphire Print Design offers silk screening on T-shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops, canvas bags and can create signs on canvas. While the biggest challenge has been getting t-shirts, she has now built her inventory. She has a multitude of ink colors and shirts in stock. Small or large projects can be done, from local events to family reunions, Youbles said.
"If someone has a design they want on a shirt, I can do that or create the artwork from many programs that are available," Youbles said.
Youbles added, "If it turns into something, great. If not, I am okay with that too."
