COVID Booster Clinic, June 7

SEELEY LAKE – The Missoula City-County Health Department will be offering a free COVID booster clinic Tuesday, June 7 from 12 – 4 p.m. at the Seeley Lake Foundation Building on Highway 83. The Clinic is open to ages five and up. Pfizer, Moderna and Janssen will be on hand for primary series and first and second boosters.

Summer childcare scholarships available

The Department of Public Health and Human Services’ Early Childhood and Family Support Division is providing scholarships to working families of elementary-age children entering kindergarten through fifth grade in the Fall of 2022, to help cover costs of out-of-school programming/child care for the summer months. Scholarships are limited, one-time grants, with a choice of either $1,500 or $2,500 per eligible child based on a family’s summer care costs.

Parents must be employed and be able to provide documentation of summer care arrangements to be considered eligible.

Applicants will be contacted by their local Child Care Resource and Referral Agency by either the email address or phone number they provided to complete application process.

Weekly COVID-19 update

As of May 30, there have been 277,497 cases of COVID-19 in Montana. There have been 1,475,801 doses of vaccines administered and 565,071 Montanans fully immunized. There are 1,558 active cases, 12,035 total hospitalizations and 3,400 deaths in Montana due to COVID-19 complications. Missoula County has had 28,214 cases, 266 active cases, 27,739 recovered and 209 COVID-related deaths to date.
