Seeley Lake Library News

SEELEY LAKE - There is a lot going on at the Seeley Lake Community Library in June.

The Book Club meets June 2 at 10 a.m. This month they are reading “Educated” by Tara Westover.

Here is a synopsis from the book: “Born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho, Tara Westover was 17 the first time she set foot in a classroom. Her family was so isolated from mainstream society that there was no one to ensure the children received an education and no one to intervene when one of Tara’s older brothers became violent. When another brother got himself into college, Tara decided to try a new kind of life. Her quest for knowledge transformed her, taking her over oceans and across continents, to Harvard and to Cambridge University. Only then would she wonder if she’d traveled too far, if there was still a way home.”

The Book Club is open to the public. Refreshments will be available. Masks are not required.

The Seeley Lake Community Library is located in the Seeley-Swan High School and is open Mondays and Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information call 406-677-8995.
