Music and comedy takes the stage next Thursday

SWAN VALLEY - 2 Valleys Stage is wrapping up their 2021-22 season with a fun, globe-trotting music and comedy duo, Bridge and Wolak. Due to the band's tight travel schedule, the concert will be on Thursday, April 28 at 7 p.m. at the Swan Valley Community Hall. Tickets are available at the door (Adults $14, seniors $12, and students under 18 are free). Refreshments will be served and beer and wine by donation.

This exciting band merges traditional instruments with 21st century digital technology. Michael Bridge (accordions & piano) and Kornel Wolak (clarinet & piano) perform their own original brand of fusion, drawing from their classical roots and love for folk, jazz and tango music. With deft virtuosity and endless wit, they have been called the "Victor Borges of the 21st Century." Fun-loving gentlemen (with seven degrees in music), they represent the modern conception of musician-entertainer-educators.

Their concert schedule has taken them to Poland, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, France, Ecuador and throughout the USA and Canada. They originally started playing together after being connected by Michael's accordion professor at the University of Toronto and have become musical partners and great friends.

Most concerts include a Q & A so have your questions ready and expect riotous answers! Bridge and Wolak will certainly be quizzed vigorously by our local students when they perform in our schools leading up to this concert!

"Watch and be amazed," states the Canadian Broadcasting System!

2 Valleys Stage had firmed up our 2022-23 season with an exciting line up of Celtic, Mediterranean and middle-eastern, Cajun, Japanese taiko drummers and classical music by Joseph Hadyn. Season tickets will be available this summer and online at alpineartisans.org.
