SEELEY LAKE - Deirdre McNamer is no stranger to readers of Montana authors. This acclaimed award-winning novelist will be presenting her new novel "Aviary" at the next Open Book Club sponsored by Alpine Artisans. At 2 p.m., Saturday, April 23 at the Seeley Lake Community Foundation, McNamer opens the pages of her newest work to our community.
"Aviary" is a story that explores the relationships of the residents of a senior home in Montana. The complexities of old age and an unusual event lead to romance and mystery that entwines the daily lives of the Pheasant Run occupants. The author incorporates many of the retirement home challenges that face us today. With her attention to detail and skill with character, McNamer delivers a master story that relates to everyone.
McNamer (fondly called Dee), born and raised in north central Montana, is a favorite American writer to large numbers of folks because of her past novels including "My Russian," "One Sweet Quarrel," "Rima in the Reeds" and "Red Rover."
Open Book Club is free and open to all ages.
