SEELEY LAKE – During their annual food drive from mid-November through their Customer Appreciation Day, Dec. 9, Citizens Alliance Bank in Seeley Lake collected around 150 pounds of non-perishable food and $803.52 in cash from customers to donate to the Seeley-Swan Community Food Bank. As they have done for the past several years, CAB headquarters matched the monetary donations dollar for dollar raised by their branches up to $1,000. The Food Bank received a total of $1,607.04.
Food Bank Volunteer Coordinator Sally Johnson and Treasurer Annie Marron expressed how grateful they were for the food contributions and financial support.
"We are overwhelmed with the generosity of the community and the bank," Johnson said.
CAB Seeley Lake Branch Manager Cheryl Lewis said this year they asked customers if they wanted to donate their change. Many did and others donated on top of that. She felt it was a great way to promote awareness of the Food Bank and it was very effective.
"Citizens Alliance customers are just the best," Lewis said. "They are just awesome how generous they are."
