WOODWORTH - With the snow drifting down outside, it was warm inside during the Rich Ranch Community Appreciation Day Dec. 12. Adults enjoyed the chance to visit, listened to holiday favorites played by the Feigleys and judged the Chili Cookoff. The younger generation played in the snow and loved seeing Santa when he stopped by to visit and hand out goodie bags.
Texas Style Chili w/o Beans

3 pounds lean ground beef
1 1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green pepper
3 cloves garlic, chopped
2, 28 ounce cans tomatoes broken up
2 cups water
1, 6 ounce can tomato paste
8 beef bullion cubes
2 Tablespoons chili powder
1 Tablespoon ground cumin
2 teaspoons oregano leaves
2 teaspoons sugar
Brown beef. Add onion, green peppers and garlic. Cook until tender. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hours
