Drought Management Plan webinar, Oct. 14
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is working with the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, the Governor’s office, regional stakeholder groups and the public on updating the statewide Drought Management Plan. The public is invited to join an informative webinar Oct. 14 from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. to learn more about the update and the many ways to get involved.
Stakeholder engagement and participation in the planning process are central to building and enhancing Montana’s drought resilience. The plan update will use a stakeholder-driven process to expand and improve statewide drought monitoring, preparedness, response and adaptation. Public participation will help identify programs and policies that support local action.

Weekly COVID-19 update
As of Oct. 12, there have been 160,896 cases of COVID-19 in Montana. There have been 1,037,832 doses of vaccines administered and 494,537 Montanans fully immunized. There are 12,333 active cases, 8,053 total hospitalizations with 489 active, 146,469 recoveries and 2,094 deaths in Montana due to COVID-19 complications. Missoula County has had 14,851 cases, 2,785 active cases, 11,930 recovered and 137 COVID-related deaths to date.
