What can Medicare beneficiaries do during "Open Enrollment"?
• Change from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage Plan.
• Change from a Medicare Advantage Plan back to Original Medicare.
• Switch from one Medicare Advantage Plan to another Medicare Advantage Plan.
• Switch from a Medicare Advantage Plan that doesn't offer drug coverage to a Medicare Advantage Plan that offers drug coverage.
• Switch from a Medicare Advantage Plan that offers drug coverage to a Medicare Advantage Plan that doesn't offer drug coverage.
• Join a Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan.
• Switch from one Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan to another Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan.
• Drop your Medicare Part D Prescription Drug coverage completely.
It is especially important to review your Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan or Medicare Advantage Plan during this period, to make sure the plan covers your current prescription drugs. Also, you may be able to save money on your annual prescription costs by switching to a different plan for 2022.
You can get help comparing Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans or Medicare Advantage plans by going online to http://www.medicare.gov/plan-compare "Find a Medicare plan" which is Medicare's plan finder tool. You can go online and use the Log In or Create Account to get started. After you create an account, go to Health & Drug Plans, to find and compare coverage options. Be sure that you are comparing the correct year plans for Medicare Open Enrollment. It should say 2022 plans.
For individualized assistance, I can help you navigate Medicare's plan finder tool and help you shop for and enroll in a plan that meets your needs in 2022. I have appointments available in-person, via ZOOM or on the telephone. Please call me, Linda Howard Seeley-Swan Resource Specialist at (406) 541-7688 to make an appointment.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon!
The very best of health to you, Linda
