Crisis Counselors available for support
MISSOULA - Depression, anxiety, stress, sadness, fear and other trauma-related symptoms are common reactions during a disaster such as a global pandemic. Trained crisis counselors are available through the Montana Crisis Recovery hotline. The warmline was originally established through a grant from FEMA in response to the COVID pandemic. However because of their concern for those communities that have been impacted by the wildfires, the Montana Crisis Recovery hotline was expanded to include disaster assistance of any kind
The warmline is a free, confidential line, staffed by a team of trained counselors who are available daily from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. to offer support and information. There are trained tribal counselors on the team, as well.
Anyone who is struggling due to the physical, emotional or economic effects of COVID-19 or of any other disaster is encouraged to call 1-877-503-0833. The counselors can answer questions, help find needed resources or just listen.
