AAI Senior Scholarship and Youth Grants awards announced

SEELEY LAKE - Alpine Artisans is pleased to announce our Senior Scholarship winner and three additional Youth Grant awards.

Seeley-Swan High School recent graduate Kess Victor will use her $1,000 Senior Scholarship to attend University of Montana, focusing on therapy for children and adolescents with a minor in fine arts to supplement her therapy skills. Victor was the recent recipient of a 'Most Inspirational Student' award at SSHS, and her application for the scholarship award was equally inspirational. Victor lives in Bonner, and she described how her interest in art grew after transferring to SSHS, discovering painting and other forms of art. Victor has also succeeded with her vocal talents, participating in the International Choral Festival and the All-State Choir. Her application stated, "I intend to help in crisis areas and in other countries to learn how they work through issues such as mental illness, loss of loved ones or emotional abuse."

The youth grant award winners reflect the age range we often see with these applicants.

Layla Bullis lives in Lincoln, and her $200 award will enable her to pursue art classes with Lincoln artist Annie Clark. Audrey Stevenson is a fifth grader at Seeley Lake Elementary, and her $300 award will enable her to continue taking guitar lessons at Missoula's Childbloom Guitar program. Elliot Morgenstern is a sixth grader at Seeley Elementary, and he will be traveling to the Flathead Music Camp near Rollins, Montana, applying his $300 award to improve on his baritone trumpet skills.

Youth grant opportunities are ongoing, and the application is available on the Alpine Artisans website: https://www.alpineartisans.org/youth-scholarships. This program is supported by Alpine Artisans' Loon and Fish Raffle and other AAI donors and events.
