SEELEY LAKE – The community is invited to an informational meeting at the Seeley Lake Baptist Church July 14 at 7 p.m. given by Texas 4000. Texas 4000 is a group of 24 cyclists from the University of Texas doing a 4000-mile round-trip to raise money for cancer.
According to their website, Texas 4000 cultivates student leaders and engages communities in the fight against cancer. They share hope, knowledge and charity in the fight against cancer through their cornerstone event, a 4,000+ mile bike ride from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska.
The presentation is less than a half an hour. It will include information about cancer awareness, prevention, discussing granting partners and sharing stories about why riders choose to do this journey. Everyone is welcome!
