SEELEY LAKE – There is another Market in town this summer with vendors from the area. The Pop Up Market will be held every week on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Fat Hippie's lawn through the end of summer.
Color Street Sales Rep Kristy Pohlman came up with the idea for the Pop Up Market.
"It is another place to get out and sell and another [Market] for people to go," Pohlman said.
She approached Fat Hippie Owner Terry Lucke about the idea of holding the market at his location on Highway 83 across from A Street. Fat Hippie thought the idea was great. Lucke's son Alex Schlickbernd said it was an opportunity to get out in the public eye, share their knowledge about CBD products and offer something for people to do on Saturday in town.
"It's a community thing," Schlickbernd said.
The Market currently has five-six vendors each week but Schlickbernd's wife Sheresa said they are expecting more after the Fourth. While all of the vendors have been direct sales representatives, the Market is open to anyone. Fat Hippie charges $20 for a 10x10 space. Schlickbernd hopes once it catches on they will fill the entire lawn with 15 – 20 vendors. While they are still working on the official name, the "Pop Up Market" is compliant with direct sales policies.
Schlickbernd said, "Lots of good stuff, good people and a beautiful place."
