SEELEY LAKE – Local growers, artisans, non-profits and other organizations will once again fill the Seeley Lake Community Foundation's lawn, Highway 83, starting this Sunday, June 20 for the Seeley Lake Market. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday through Labor Day, the community can come, browse and support local vendors.
This is the third year the Market has been managed by the Foundation. Market manager Rachelle Harman said the intent is to promote homemade or homegrown products/crafts. There will be fresh produce including fruits and vegetables that can be purchased using Senior Farmer's Market coupons. She also expects 20-40 vendors depending on the week.
"There are no COVID restrictions required this year," Harman wrote in an email. "To ensure our market is operating accordingly, I met with the County officials, so we are in compliance. If changes should happen, the vendors and community will be informed."
In addition to the usual vendors, this year Harman said there will be a representative from the Montana Department of Transportation to answer questions and inform the community about the upcoming development of Highway 83 around Salmon Lake.
Visitor parking is available at the Seeley Lake Elementary School. No pets are permitted within the perimeter of the market and a smoking area is located on the south side.
For more information about the market or becoming a vendor please contact Rachelle Harman by email at seeleylakemarket@gmail.com, or by phone at 406-317-2756.
