Spring Wildflower Hike, June 19

SEELEY LAKE – Clearwater Resource Council invites you to its second guided nature walk event June 19 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Gather friends, grab your boots come learn about spring wildflower identification! Steve Shelly, retired Forest Service Botanist, will be the guide and interpreter.

The hike will be approximately three to four miles. It will occur rain or shine and will not allow dogs. Dress appropriately and provide your own water and snacks.

The event will be limited to 20 participants. Please RSVP at http://crcmt.org/registration for location details. If you can no longer attend, please notify us ASAP so that we can make your spot available to others.

Weekly COVID-19 update

As of June 7, there have been 112,260 cases of COVID-19 in Montana. There have been 821,058 doses of vaccines administered and 398,402 Montanans fully immunized. There are 656 active cases, 5,328 total hospitalizations with 59 active, 109,972 recoveries and 1,632 deaths in Montana due to COVID-19 complications. Missoula County has had 9,262 cases, has 58 active cases, 9,109 recovered and 95 COVID-related deaths.

Seeley Lake Library News

     SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley Lake Library will be opening its doors to the public on Tuesday, June 15 at 10:30 a.m. The Summer Reading Program, Tails and Tales, also begins that day. Participants can pick up a reading log to keep track of the time they read to earn an ice-cream-coupon and have their names entered into a grand prize drawing on Aug. 12.  Reading logs can be picked up throughout the summer. 

     In addition to books, the library has hotspots and life jackets available for checkout. For more information call 677-8995.

The Seeley Lake Library is a branch of Missoula Public Library located at Seeley-Swan High School. Beginning Tuesday, June 15, the library will be open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
