Along with our gorgeous summer weather, we in the Seeley-Swan Valley have something to celebrate! Seniors who are 60 years of age and older, residents of Missoula County and meet federal income guidelines (one-person household maximum monthly income = $1,986; two-person household maximum monthly income = $2,686; three-person household maximum monthly income = $3,386), qualify to receive $50 worth of coupons to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables through 2021 Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program. Note that if applying as a couple, each individual must complete a separate application.
Coupons can be spent locally at the Seeley Lake Sunday Market, which begins Sunday, June 20 and ends Sunday, Sept. 5, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Seeley Lake Community Foundation Building grounds (3150 MT Hwy 83 N). Coupons also may be spent at Missoula Farmers' Markets.
HOW TO APPLY:
1. Fill out the Farmers' Market Coupon Program application which you can stop by and get from Linda Howard, Seeley-Swan Resource Specialist at her office in the Seeley Lake Community Foundation Building Monday-Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and give it to Linda.
2. Call Linda at 406-541-7688 and she will mail an application to you; or go to the Missoula Aging Services website at missoulaagingservices.org and download and print the application form. Please complete the application on both sides. Mail your completed application to Seeley-Swan Resource Center, PO Box 25, Seeley Lake, MT 59868.
3. Eligible applicants will be contacted by phone to let them know when they can pick up their coupons from Linda.
