Placid Creek Rd. 349 temporary road closure

PLACID LAKE - Placid Creek Road National Forest Service Road 349 from milepost 2.7 to milepost 5.1 will be temporarily closed through the end of February for fuels reduction work. The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is conducting the work on private lands.

Missoula County Commissioners seek applicants for board positions

The Missoula County Commissioners are accepting applications for the Seeley Lake Cemetery District Board, Tax Appeal Board, Impact Fee Advisory Committee, Fair Event Committee and Parks and Trails Advisory Board.

The Seeley Lake Cemetery Board has one three-year term that expires April 30, 2021. The new three-year term runs May 1, 2021, through April 30, 2024. All current members are eligible for reappointment and will be given priority should they submit a letter of interest and meet the qualifications to continue serving. New applicants must be residents or own property in Seeley Lake.

The board governs and manages the Seeley Lake Cemetery District. Meetings are held at 12 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at Faith Chapel at 3260 Highway 83 N.

Hospital District meeting Feb. 9 to be held via conference call

SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley Lake-Swan Valley Hospital District’s January board meeting will be held via conference call Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 5 p.m. The public is welcome to call in to participate in the meeting. There are 3,618 active cases, 4,248 total hospitalizations with 108 active, 89,218 recoveries and 1,234 deaths in Montana due to COVID-19 complications. Missoula County has had 7,705 cases, has 178 active cases, 7,446 recovered and 81 COVID-related deaths.
