Mark McGill got this 4x3 white-tailed buck his first year hunting. He and his family were on their way home to take the turkey out of the oven at the end of their pre-dinner hunt Thanksgiving Day when Mark spotted this deer on Placid Lake Road. Needless to say, dinner was delayed but Mark was happy. This was his first hunting season.

Kinley Moore shot this 4x4 whitetail on the last day of the season Nov. 29 with a 223, 7mm08. This buck had a double eye guard on both sides but one was broken off.

Gabby Petersen of Seeley Lake shot this 4x4 whitetail in the Seeley Lake area Nov. 7. She shot it with a Savage 7mm. This was her third year hunting with her family.

Seeley Lake's Emily Maughan shot this 4x4 whitetail in the Seeley area on Oct. 25. She used her grandfather's 30/30 which her mother Lisa used to hunt. She hunted with her dad and had to run up a steep hill to get a shot at it. This is her third buck since she started hunting.

Chantel Lynch of Seeley Lake shot this 4x4 whitetail buck at 250 yard in the Seeley Lake area Nov. 27. It had a broken tine from fighting other bucks. This was Chantel's second and largest buck she's shot. The antler spread was 21 inches.

In his last year participating in the apprentice hunting program, Dominick Wink of Seeley Lake shot his first 2 x 1 mule deer around Seeley Lake with his 6.5 Creedmoor. He got it on the last day of the youth hunt Friday, Oct. 16 while hunting with his dad Nick.
