SEELEY LAKE – The third annual reverse giving tree event returns to Seeley Lake Saturday, Dec. 5 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Seeley Lake Community Hall. Organizer and owner of Montana Girl Sheila Czifro has 48 Christmas stockings filled with toys, Crayola crayons, color sheets, Play Doh, crafts and more. There will also be a large selection of new and gently used toys, gift items, food cards and toiletries for anyone in need.
"This year more than ever our community needs something good to look forward to and something that will bring happiness to others. I would never want a child to wake up with nothing," wrote Czifro in an email. "I know with COVID more people than ever are without jobs or their usual incomes, and will be struggling to make it through the holidays."
All ages are encouraged to stop by and pick up a stocking and grab a toy or gift. Czifro
hopes to also have a few bigger items like roller blades and sleds to raffle off.
"Last year I had said how we never know when something beyond our control will happen and how we can all end up being someone needing a little help. I am very happy to be able to double the amount I am giving away this year and help that many more families," wrote Czifro.
"It may not be Xboxes and iPads but I am hoping this takes a little stress out of others' lives and allows everyone to just enjoy the holidays."
Gift wrapping will be available. COVID restrictions will apply and face masks are required. Entrance will be limited to 25 people at a time.
If you are interested in donating items to help support more families, please contact Czifro, 406-750-7734.
