Re-Imagine Rural, Legislative session and fuels project at next Council meeting

SEELEY LAKE - The next meeting of the Seeley Lake Community Council will be this Monday, Nov. 9, via Zoom. Instructions for sign-on are at the end of this release.

The first speaker will be Claire Muller, Executive Director of the Seeley Lake Community Foundation. She will give a summary and update on a recent three-day seminar “Re-Imagine Rural.” The seminar brought together neighbors to think about small steps Seeley Lake might take to improve our community. Participants described it as a “very exciting three days.”

She will be followed by the winners of the MT House and Senate district races, who are unknown at press time. However by the time you read this you will know who they are. They will talk about the coming legislative session, their priorities, the committees to which they hope to be appointed and what bills they intend to introduce.

Finally, a regular guest at the Council, Quinn Carver, Seeley Lake District Ranger, will give an update on U.S. Forest Service activities, including the Westside Bypass fuels project.

Like always, there will be an opportunity for public comments on non-agenda items.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. We encourage participants to connect by 5:50. Here are the details for the Zoom meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84720547323?pwd=eWx0ZlN2MVBxbE5jR0kwTnp5SFN0UT09
