As of Wednesday at 1 p.m., Montana has voted to give its three electoral votes towards Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. They received 320,650 votes (56%) versus Democrat opponent Joe Biden and his Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris who received 233,084 votes (41%).
So far 468 precincts have fully tallied their votes while the remaining 185 are still in the process. The total recorded turnout was 574,822 out of 752,551 currently registered voters.
In the race for the U.S. Senate, Republican Steve Daines is leading former Democratic Governor Steve Bullock 55% to 45%. Bullock conceded to Daines in a press release early Wednesday morning.
"Congratulations to Senator Daines on his victory tonight," Bullock stated. "I have been so grateful to have served as Montana's Governor and Attorney General."
For the U.S. House, Republican Matt Rosendale is leading Democrat Kathleen Williams 56% to 46%. For the Governor and Lt. Governor race, Repulican candidates Greg Gianforte and Kristen Juras lead Democrats Mike Cooney and Casey Schreiner 54% to 42%.
In Missoula County, Democrat Juanita Vero is in the lead for the District 1 County Commissioner race. So far she has received 60% of the vote while her Republican opponent Alan Ault received 40%.
For District 4 Public Service Commissioner, while Democrat Monica Tranel received 63% of the votes in Missoula County, Republican candidate Jennifer Fielder is winning District 4 with 52% to Tranel's 48%.
Democratic candidate Shannon O'Brien has received 67% of the votes in the Senate District 46 race while her Republican opponent Niki Sardot received 33%.
Republican Mike Hopkins has received 54% of the votes in the House District 92 race while Democratic opponent Tom Browder trails at 46%.
Initiatives CI-118 and 190 both have received majority support at 58% and 57% respectively. C-190 allows for the recreational purchase of marijuana while C-118 amends the Montana Constitution to allow an initiative to establish a minimum age, similar to alcohol, to possess, buy and use marijuana.
Referendum-130 currently has majority support at 51% and would prevent local governments from regulating the ability to carry permitted concealed firearms.
Constitutional Amendments C-46 and C-47 have majority support at 77% and 75% respectively. They would edit the state constitution in terms of ballot initiative signature collection. Under C-46, proposed constitutional amendment supporters would need to collect signatures from at least 10 percent of qualified voters in at least 40 of Montana's 100 legislative districts. C-47 makes it so that proposed ballot initiatives or veto referenda would require signatures representing at least 5% of qualified electors in one-third of Montana's legislative districts.
