Eagles finish season strong

SEELEY LAKE - "This is so fun! This is So Fun!!" shouted Haidyn Bradshaw as the Seeley Lake Elementary Eagles Volleyball Team finished the season strong with an impressive sweep over the Valley Christian Eagles. The fans were so excited and the girls and coaches were ecstatic and jumping up and down.

The season started out rather interesting because of COVID. The team started with 12 girls, grew to 17 after the first week and wrapped up the end of the season with 24 players including five eighth graders. The team was split into an A squad with 11 players and a B squad with 13.

With only three games scheduled, there was a lot of practice time to learn serving, passing, hitting and there was also plenty of time for conditioning. They ended the season with a 1-2 record.

This team worked hard on and off the court and every one of them improved their game by the end of the season. We are very proud of each and every player and congratulations for a great season!

Thank you to Superintendent Josh Gibbs, SLE staff, volunteer coaches, refs and line judges for helping make this an incredible season. Go Eagles.
