SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks defeated the Victor Pirates for their homecoming game Oct. 10.
The Lady Blackhawks took game one with ease, 25-11, but had a little more trouble with the Pirates in game two. They led the whole game up until the end when the Pirates gave them a little scare, taking the lead 23-24. The Pirates' luck ran out however and the Lady Blackhawks defeated them 26-24. The third and final game was another blowout, 25-5.
Lady Blackhawk Sariah Maughan said the team is really starting to come together.
"We did a really good job today," said Maughan. "Everyone's serves were really good. We had a lot of good communication and energy."
Klaire Kovatch led the Lady Blackhawks with 9 kills followed by Trista Wendel with 6. Jordan Johnson had 16 assists while Aspen Conley had 9.
Maughan and Johnson led the Lady Blackhawks in aces with 6 and 4 respectively.
This week the Lady Blackhawks head to Plains Oct. 15 and then head to Alberton to take on the Clark Fork Co-op Oct. 17. Check the Seeley-Swan High School Activities Facebook page for updates and live streaming of games.
