The Great Elk Tour in Missoula

MISSOULA - Come see the all-new interactive Great Elk Tour at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation headquarters, 5705 Grant Creek Road in Missoula.

The Great Elk Tour is a traveling conservation exhibit that showcases some of the largest bull elk in the world. The tour includes the Archery World Record held by local Steve Felix for his 2016 bull with a Boone & Crockett Score of 444 2/8 (Gross) and Pop & Young 430 Net. The tour also provides education about conservation, elk and hunting.

The recently refurbished 50-foot trailer usually spends the majority of the year crisscrossing the country to the tune of about 45,000 miles so it is rarely, if ever, in Missoula. COVID-19 greatly interrupted the tour’s schedule in 2020.

The Tour is open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., seven days a week until the weather turns. Admission is free.
