Blackhawks step up the pace in Thompson Falls

THOMPSON FALLS, MONTANA – The Seeley-Swan Cross Country runners each ran their season's best at the Thompson Falls Cross Country Meet Sept. 24.

"The results were outstanding," said Head Coach Shawn Holmes.

Freshman Conner Chadwick took off one minute, 17 seconds setting a new personal record for himself. He finished in 23:48.

Emily Maughan led the ladies placing third overall in the meet with a time of 21:06. This was one minute, one second faster than at the meet in Hamilton two weeks ago.

Sariah Maughan was next for the Lady Blackhawks taking a spot on the podium in fifth with a time of 21:30. She shaved off 46 seconds from the last meet.

And placing sixth at the meeting and running one minute, 33 seconds faster than her last time, Kyla Conley finished in 21:35.

The Seeley-Swan Cross Country team's next meet is in Deer Lodge at the Golf Course Saturday, Oct. 3.
