Open Enrollment season starts this month

A Note from Linda

What season is it? It is Medicare's Annual "Open Enrollment" Oct. 15 – Dec. 7. It is coming up quickly!

What can you do during "Open Enrollment"?

• Change from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage Plan.

• Change from a Medicare Advantage Plan back to Original Medicare.

• Switch from one Medicare Advantage Plan to another Medicare Advantage Plan.

• Switch from a Medicare Advantage Plan that doesn't offer drug coverage to a Medicare Advantage Plan that offers drug coverage.

• Switch from a Medicare Advantage Plan that offers drug coverage to a Medicare Advantage Plan that doesn't offer drug coverage.

• Join a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan.

• Switch from one Medicare drug plan to another Medicare drug plan.

• Drop your Medicare prescription drug coverage completely. (https://www.medicare.gov/sign-up-change-plans/joining-a-health-or-drug-plan)

It is especially important to review your Medicare Prescription Drug Plan or Medicare Advantage Plan during this period, to make sure the plan covers your current prescription drugs. Also, you may be able to save money on your annual prescription costs by switching to a different plan for 2021.

To do this you can go online to Medicare.gov Find a Medicare plan at: https://www.medicare.gov/plan-compare/#/?lang=en&year=2020 or you can call Linda Howard Seeley-Swan Resource Specialist at (406) 541-7688 to make an appointment. Linda will assist you on Medicare Plan Finder, to shop for and enroll in a plan that meets your needs in 2021.

This year appointments are on ZOOM and on the telephone. In special circumstances, if either of those options won't work for you, in-person appointments may be arranged following social distancing, mask and hand sanitizer protocols.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely, Linda
