Fall campground closures for the Lolo

The Lolo National Forest announced the following campground and recreation site seasonal closures and updates:

Seeley Lake Ranger District:

• Seeley Lake and Lakeside Campgrounds closed on Sept. 8  

• Extended season! River Point Campground will remain open free of charge until Sept. 28.

• Big Larch Campground will remain open and free of charge until snowfall with camp hosts. Water services will be available until the end of September.

• Big Larch dock will be pulled for the season on Oct. 1

• All other campgrounds on the Seeley Lake Ranger District will remain open free of charge but services will be limited.

Missoula Ranger District:

• Pattee Canyon Picnic Area – closed Sept. 8

• Lee Creek Campground – closes Sept. 14

• Lolo Creek Campground – closes Sept. 21

• Fort Fizzle – closes Sept. 21

• Most Rock Creek Campgrounds close Sept. 28; some campgrounds without gates will remain open without services including Siria Campground, Bitterroot Flat Campground and the designated dispersed sites in Rock Creek will be available for public use

Ninemile Ranger District

• Kreis Pond Campground- closes Dec. 1 

• Clearwater Crossing Campground- open year-round unless snow closes the road
