A Note from Linda
Along with our gorgeous summer weather, we in the Seeley-Swan Valley have something to celebrate! Seniors who are 60 years of age and older, residents of Missoula County and meet federal income guidelines (one person household maximum monthly income = $1,968; two person household maximum monthly income = $2,658; three person household maximum monthly income = $3,349) qualify to receive coupons to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables at our local farmers markets through the Farmers' Market Coupon Program.
Farmers' Market coupons are available each summer providing $50 worth of coupons to qualified recipients. These can be spent locally at the Seeley Lake Sunday Market, which began Sunday, June 28, 2020 at the Seeley Lake Community Foundation Building grounds (3150 MT Hwy 83 N), from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and the Miller Colony Hutterite Produce Stand every Wednesday, starting July 8 at the Seeley Lake Baptist Church parking lot from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. These coupons can also be spent at the Missoula Farmers' Markets.
Three ways TO APPLY and receive your coupons
1. Fill out the Farmers' Market Coupon Program application which you can get from Linda Howard, Seeley-Swan Resource Specialist only on Thursdays and Fridays at her office in the Seeley Lake Community Foundation Building. If you qualify, Linda will give you the coupons the same day you come in.
2. Call Linda Howard at 406 541-7688 and she will complete your application over the phone. If you qualify she will mail the coupons to you.
3. Go to the Missoula Aging Services website at missoulaagingservices.org and download the application form. Please complete the application on both sides. You must sign and date on the back. Mail your application to Seeley-Swan Resource Center, PO Box 25, Seeley Lake, MT 59868. You can also return your application by email to lhoward@missoulaagingservices.org. Eligible applicants will be contacted by phone to let them know when they can then pick up their coupons from Linda. She is available only on Thursdays and Fridays at her office in the Seeley Lake Community Foundation Building.
Also, Missoula Aging Services regulations specify that Linda Howard will be wearing a facemask and those picking up coupons from her need to also be wearing a facemask. Thank you for helping to keep us safe!
Enjoy a Happy Fourth of July,
Linda
