Last week to donate to the Change Your Pace Challenge

SEELEY LAKE - The Change Your Pace (CYP) Challenge runs through 5 p.m. June 30, leaving under a week to increase the power of a donation to your favorite local cause(s), with the help of the CYP Match Fund.

The Seeley Lake Community Foundation's fifth-annual CYP Challenge is a campaign for community-wide giving, celebrating the people and organizations that make our community great. Fifteen local organizations are participating this year, raising money for local projects during this month-long fundraising challenge.

The CYP Challenge motivates community members to give to their favorite participating organizations, knowing their gifts will grow larger thanks to the CYP Match Fund. Since 2016, over $332,000 in funding for Seeley Lake area organizations have come in through the annual CYP Challenge!

SLCF Executive Director Claire Muller said, "We're excited that the CYP Match Fund has grown to over $10,000 this year! Anyone can give to the CYP Match Fund, and help all organizations with one gift. A special thank you goes to Energy Partners, a headlining sponsor of this year's CYP Match Fund. Missoula Electric Coop has also made a great contribution to the 2020 CYP Match Fund. SLCF is proud to encourage community philanthropy and help leverage support for all the great work our local groups are doing!"

After the donation period closes on June 30, each organization's donation totals will be tallied and the match percentage will be calculated based on how big the CYP Match Fund grows. Participating organizations will be recognized through a check-presentation ceremony at the Foundation Building on July 8, following social distancing guidelines.

2020 participating CYP organizations: Alpine Artisans, Big Blackfoot Chapter of Trout Unlimited, Blackfoot Challenge, Clearwater Resource Council, Missoula Aging Services, SLE Community Park, Seeley Lake Community Foundation, Seeley Lake Historical Museum and Visitor's Center, Seeley Lake ROCKS, SSHS Destinations for Education, Sela Senci (Seeley Lake Senior Center), Sparrow's Vine Pregnancy Center, Swan Valley Connections, Upper Swan Valley Historical Society, Veterans & Families of Seeley Lake
