SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley Lake Community Foundation's Change Your Pace (CYP) Challenge is a campaign for community-wide giving, celebrating the people and organizations that make our community great. During this month-long fundraising period, June 1-30, the CYP motivates community members to give to their favorite participating local nonprofits and community groups, knowing the impact of their gift will grow thanks to the CYP Match Fund.
Fifteen local organizations are participating this year, raising money for important projects to benefit the greater Seeley Lake area. All donations go through the Seeley Lake Community Foundation, allowing donors to support as many organizations as they wish, using one donation form.
The SLCF will be mailing out a CYP Donor Brochure late this week to local property owners and look for a CYP donation brochure insert in next week's Pathfinder! Beginning June 1st, supporters can give online through the SLCF website, both to participating CYP organizations, and the CYP Match Fund: http://www.seeleylakecommunityfoundation.org. Mail checks made out to the Seeley Lake Community Foundation and accompanied by the Donor Form section of the CYP brochure, to SLCF at PO Box 25, Seeley Lake, MT 59868.
SLCF Executive Director Claire Muller said, "Every dollar makes a difference. During this time of great uncertainty, your choices help your community. We know the impacts of COVID-19 are colossal and far-reaching and we know they touch each of you in some way. However, as eyes are on the headlines and the unknowns, giving through the Change Your Pace Challenge is a concrete way to help local groups that support the Montana you love. This year's Change Your Pace Challenge will kick off with $6,000 in the CYP Match Fund, and we're excited to see this amount grow throughout the next month. A special thank you to Energy Partners, a headlining sponsor of this year's CYP Match Fund. The SLCF is proud to encourage community philanthropy and increase support for all the great work our local groups are doing. But during this stressful time, know that if you're not in a position to give, we still appreciate you, now and always."
