The community has wondered about the opening of Loving Hearts and the ability to donate items. I am available to take donations, however, Loving Hearts will not have regular working hours until May 27. If you would like to donate, please do not just leave items at the store. Call, text (406-670-5526) or email (mnewps@gmail.com) me prior to dropping things and someone can meet you.
Last night a friend passing by called to inform me that there was a large pile left at the store. I, unfortunately, had already showered and was in my pajamas. I was NOT going to head back down for the third time to put stuff away without someone letting me know they planned to leave items. It rained all night, things were ruined and thrown out. So, I would be glad to meet people rather than toss things to the garbage.
I am responsible for the safety of not only myself, but my volunteers, as well as my customers. I have chosen to wait a few weeks to open to see if Montana and Missoula County have a spike in COVID-19 cases.
I will open Wednesday, May 27 for our regular hours 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Only eight people will be allowed in the store at a time, they must wear masks and we will be wiping things down to attempt to keep the store as safe as possible.
Please bear with me as we all work through this new world of COVID-19. I appreciate all of the donations, the shoppers and of course my wonderful volunteers!
