Fiscally responsible budgets, strong conservative fiscal policy, the first comprehensive infrastructure package for Montana in over a decade, protecting our Second Amendment rights and fighting to keep taxes low in Montana. These are some of the things I promised to get done if I was elected to serve you in the Montana Legislature. After representing the people of House District 92 for the past two sessions, we have a real record of getting things done and getting them done with bipartisan majorities.
In the past two sessions, I have been proud to fight alongside my friends in the Legislature to defeat over a billion dollars in tax increase proposals. We have delivered the two most conservative State budgets in the last two decades. We fought back against the Missoula City Council's attempt to restrict our Second Amendment rights and as the Chair of the Legislature's Infrastructure Committee, I had the privilege to write and pass the first comprehensive Infrastructure package in Montana in over a decade.
That Infrastructure package means safer roads, safer bridges, safer schools, cleaner drinking water, cleaner streams and lakes, better irrigation for Montana agriculture and more access to our public lands.
I am running for re-election to build on that record of accomplishment.
We have to tackle the burden placed on Montanans due to constant property tax increases at the local level and we have to fix the appraisal process for property that artificially raises the cost of housing. We have to protect and promote good paying jobs in our timber industry. We have to increase access to broadband in rural Montana and we have to keep up the fight against those who want to increase taxes across the board in the State Legislature.
When there is a serious policy discussion in Helena, we have a seat at the table and a real influence on the end result of those discussions. We need to use that influence to continue getting real results for the people of Montana.
It's an honor to represent you in the Montana Legislature and I am asking for your vote to continue getting things done on your behalf in Helena."
