Principal's Corner
Dear Seeley-Swan families,
We are just getting started with the second semester. We took some time last week to praise the great work students are doing at the school during our second quarter assembly. We were able to recognize students for their hard work, attendance, behavior and kindness with the Principal's Award. Second quarter Principal Award recipients were Coby Gonzalez, Leah Mason, Chase Haines and Jace Layman.
We also recognized the staff member of the quarter Gerri Dellwo. She always keeps our school and grounds in pristine condition and we appreciate all the hard work she does.
For the past month our Drama, Choir and Creative Writing classes have been collaborating to write and produce 10-minute plays. They performed original pieces entitled "Head Over Heels" by Oskar Murphy and "Thinking Outside the Box" by Corene Wilkey for the students and community members at the assembly.
Alysa Russell and Amber Springer each read original poems and Sam Weisenburger performed "Circles" by Post Malone.
The Sociology class had a visit from Missoula Defense Attorney Paul Ryan as they wrap up their unit on Criminology.
We are heading into a long stretch without many breaks from school. I appreciate that this can be a tough time for everyone to get up and come to school but I ask that we really try to make it all four days of the week. If your student is sick, please call the office and let Aimee know so we can excuse them and get their work ready to be picked up.
